About the Role
Harvest Group is looking for a detail-oriented and reliable QC Assistant to support our Quality Control department and assist in maintaining and improving our FSSC system and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
– Assist in maintaining and supporting the FSSC system and documentation.
– Ensure quality and food safety records are accurate, complete and up to date.
– Assist with internal audits and prepare documentation for external audits.
– Monitor and verify compliance with food safety policies, procedures and specifications.
– Assist in product inspections, sampling and testing as per requirements.
– Capture, compile and file quality data and reports.
– Assist in managing non-conformances and corrective actions.
– Ensure all quality documents are controlled and filed correctly.
– Support the Quality Manager in day-to-day QC activities.
– Promote and maintain a culture of quality and food safety.
Applicant Requirements
– Previous experience in a Quality environment (advantageous).
– Knowledge of FSSC 22000 requirements (advantageous).
– Currently studying or completed a qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Assurance or related field (advantageous).
– Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
– Good communication skills.
– Able to work independently and as part of a team.
– Willing to learn and grow in the Quality field.
