Harvest Non Woven Products made history today with the launch of their groundbreaking non-woven fabric plant, the first of its kind in the country.
The event, held at their factory in Babelegi, Hammanskraal, was attended by distinguished guests including customers, suppliers, and various stakeholders crucial to the success of Harvest Group.

The speakers emphasized the significance of this investment for the local community surrounding the factory in Babelegi and for South Africa’s economy. The introduction of this advanced technology and training for local workers is expected to make a substantial impact on the community, including critical skills transfer opportunities. The new plant will enable Harvest to supply local manufacturers with essential raw materials for producing sanitary products such as diaper cloth, medical materials, packaging, as well as household, technical, construction, and agricultural materials.
This state-of-the-art plant, which stands four sections high, operates at such impressive speeds that high-definition cameras are used to monitor the quality and consistency of the material. The final product is a five-layer non-woven fabric with a denier of 1.6 (silk has a denier of 1 and a human hair has a denier of 20).
The new production line marks a significant milestone in enhancing Harvest’s production capabilities, quality, and technology to meet the growing demands of our valued customers. Equipped with the latest technology, the new line allows for the efficient and sustainable production of high-quality non-woven fabrics. This expansion not only increases their production capacity but also reinforces Harvest’s commitment to innovation and excellence in the industry.

- Production capacity: 8,000 tons per year

- Packaging Supplies: Shopping bags, rice bags, tea bags, clothing packaging, etc.
- Household Goods: Spring wrap, bedding, seat accessories, etc.
Applications of Melt-Blown Non-Wovens:
